"State Line Blues" named one of the top 5 Independent Releases in the United States by Real Blues Magazine in 2001. Right now, the band is finishing up work on the follow-up CD. Band's style is described as "Southern Fried Chicago," playing mostly original tunes. 61 South has appeared at clubs and festivals throughout the Midwest and Mid South. One of the few who can not only play "Stormy Monday," but can also predict it, Lew Jetton is a working meteorologist at NBC affiliate WPSD-TV in Paducah, KY.
