Essie the Blues Lady started singing and playing the blues as a young girl inspired by her hero, BB King.
She began playing around Little Rock as "Queen Bee" when she was a teenager and continues to wow audiences in Arkansas and surrounding states.
Her recent solo CD "Attitude-itis" gets regular airplay on KABF in Little Rock and other community radio ststions.
Essie has performed at the past two King Biscuit Blues Festivals and plans on recording her follow up CD in Spring of 2006.
