Mother's Day was cold and windy and to top it all off there was no electricity at the bandshell. But it takes more than that to stop an Arkansas musician. The guys stood out there with accoustic guitars and no mikes and belted out the songs. It might have been cold but the music was great.
By the time our hero from CWL got there to get the PA going the crowd was ready to hear some loud electric music.
George Hinds gave a sterling performance on accoustic guitar and kazoo. He can pull a great jazz number off and then turn around and hit you with comedy that knocks you off your feet.
The day brought out a great crowd of jammers including Rick Rooker and Ricky Rooker, Jr., Lee Bateman, Jim Keas, Randy Gambill, Hairy Larry, Bob Garrison, Shane Chastain and others.
Pictured here are George Hinds at the top of the page and at the bottom are Jim Keas, George Hinds and Hairy Larry during one of the jam sessions.
