Sunday In The Park - June 13, 2004
Email Hairy Larry

Sunday, June 13, 2004 Featured Suzanne Michell and Uncle Fred, The Mudcats, and a Jazz jam session. The concert started with Mike Overall and Suzanne jamming with The Mudcats on some Jazz and Blues. Suzanne and Fred took a set and Hairy Larry made movies of some of their originals. Then trumpeter Craig Baker took the stage and The Mudcats plus Mike and Craig did a Hairy Larry bebop tune called "Rootin Tootin". Suzanne and Fred did another set featuring several of Fred's original numbers, and as a tribute to Ray Charles, Suzanne sang Georgia. The show ended with Mudcats Randy Gambill and Hairy Larry performing on acoustic guitar and congas.

A good time was had by all. The Jazz was definitely a hit with the audience. The Blues Fest house band, The Mudcats, once again proved themselves capable of playing all genres. Suzanne sang beautifully and Uncle Fred the Deadhead really delivered his humorous material as well as older blues and gospel songs.

A movie of "Nature's Choice" by Suzanne Michell has already been posted to TV Soup and is linked below.
