"Calendar Lore" began airing on KASU at Arkansas State University in
1990. It airs five days a week and is written and narrated by Bill
Clements. Although Clements has always written "Calendar Lore" it was
originally read by William Allen. The show was produced by June Taylor
of KASU under the direction of Laura Johnson.
Clements began the series as a project based on his Folk Studies
background. "Calendar Lore" reflects events or ideas tied to a
particular day or season. "Calendar Lore" by Bill Clements is currently
produced by Mark Smith and is aired weekdays on KASU, the broadcasting
service of Arkansas State University.
