History/ BIO:
Corey Osborn first picked up the guitar at age eleven. Since he was born and raised in Memphis, there is a big blues influence in his music. At age 15 he started his first band, Corey Osborn & the Rhythm System. They entered the 2001 International Blues Competition at Blues City Café in Memphis. The first night of the contest, they came in 1st place. The night of the finals they did not win, but, their performance opened a lot of doors for them. Just from those two nights at the blues competition, Corey was asked to play at many other clubs on Beale Street. By age 16, Corey was playing 2-5 nights a week on Beale Street. He quickly developed a reputation for having one of the best shows in Memphis. Over the past few years Corey has played hundreds of clubs and festivals. One of the more notable performances was when Corey was asked to open for BB KING at his club in Memphis in 2003. The show went great and Corey was asked to opened for BB KING again in 2004.
