1999 Handy Award Winners

Well the 20th annual W. C. Handy Awards has come and gone and it was another fantastic night of Live Blues and a weekend of celebration for the Blues community in general! The hosts for the ceremony were Joe Louis Walker and Rufus Thomas and the event was peppered with performances by several of the best Blues musicians on the scene today such as Kenny Wayne Shepard and Double Trouble, Marcia Ball and Roomful of Blues. Congratulations to all the winners of the awards held Thursday, May 27, 1999 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis,TN!
