Aaron Love, the Jonesboro Bluesman

The blues flow out of Aaron Love like a river. He loves the blues and he sings them like they were meant to be sung. Aaron was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas. His musical talent was nurtured in the church. Gospel music still remains dear to him and he performs as part of a gospel quartet.

Aaron was 17 years old when he first began performing in public. He has always been a drummer but it wasn't until he met Mr Joe Lee that he really began to work on his singing. He recorded "I'm Coming Down Mama" and "I'm Gonna' Love Ya" for Alley Records. "I'm Coming Down Mama" charted in Memphis and is still popular on "Something Blue" and at Blues Fest. Aaron Love and His TV Band performed "I'm Coming Down Mama" on KAIT Channel 8 promoting Blues Fest 96.

Aaron's singing voice has been described as a growl when he is singing those deep delta blues. He also has a smooth soulful delivery on classics like "My Girl" and "Stand By Me." Aaron likes nothing better than to take microphone in hand and sing a sweet song to a pretty girl.
