The festival included an accoustic stage on the second day featuring the
talents of such blues legends as Eddie Cusic, Wade Walton, Robert
Belfour, and Charlie Musselwhite. Two memorable appearances by Rusty
John Deer and Tater and Pat Thomas, the son of the late great Son Thomas,
were part of the mornings lineup.
The main stage started in the late afternoon both friday and saturday.
Performances by Little Jeno, Arthneice Jones, Robert Walker, James
"Super Chikan" Johnson, and Otis Clay on Friday were outstanding and
left the crowd wanting more.
Saturday afternoon began with Othar Turner and The Rising Star Fife and
Drum Band leading the audience from the accoustic stage down to the main
stage. Appearing on the main stage on Saturday were The North
Mississippi Allstars, John Mohead, Arthur Lee Williams, Sam Carr and
John Weston, O. B Buchana, and Eddie C. Campbell. Closing out Saturdays
performances were the Coast To Coast Band and the Hooker Family with a
tribute to John Lee Hooker. Appearing for the Hooker famiy was Archie
Lee Hooker, John Lee Hooker Jr., and Zakiya Hooker. Charlie Musselwhite
was also a featured guest in the tribute performance.
The festival ended on Sunday the 15th with the gospel stage in full
swing. Appearing on this stage were The Jonestown Crusaders, The
Collins Family, The Myles Family and many more. It just doesn't get any
better than this. Three days of incredible music, fellowship, and tons
of food.
