Aaron Love and His TV Band, Willie Cobbs

Welcome to Something Blue. This is Hairy Larry and I've got the Blues...
for you.

---

All right, we've got the new CD by Aaron Love and His TV Band. That's
Aaron singing the classic "Stand By Me". We also heard the Jonesboro
Blues Man on "Lucille" and "Baby What You Want Me To Do". Willie Cobbs,
from Smale, Arkansas sang the title tune from his new CD "11 Months and
29 Days".

The TV Band features many vocalists. Next I'm going to sing the Wilson
Pickett song, "Midnight Hour". Then we'll hear Ms. Pansy Hall singing
"Misty Blue".

---

And that's Uldis Heyl, playing 12 string guitar and singing one he wrote
called "Throw It On the Fire". Also featured on the TV Band CD are
Richard Stevens, Donald Deloach, Kier Heyl, and Richard Murray.

Aaron recorded at Alley Records in the sixties and is featured on Joe
Lee's Alley CD "The Best of Alley Records" Chris Woodford reviewed the
CD in "Now Dig This". He said "Aaron Love - the legendary 'Joneboro
Blues Man' - adds the Aaron growl to 'Everyday I Have the Blues'"

Willie Cobbs is another Blues legend from Arkansas. Here he is now doing
one of my favorites, "Key to the Highway".

---

That's Willie Cobbs with "Jukin", one he wrote. Both Willie Cobbs and
Aaron Love are Blues Fest 98 performers. In fact Aaron has performed at
every Blues Fest and the TV Band got it's name from our Blues Fest
promotions on TV8.

Before "Jukin" we heard Aaron and Pansy sing "The Thrill is Gone"
featuring Richard Stevens on flute. Then Aaron did the Ray Charles
classic, "Hit the Road Jack".

Joe Lee released a single on Aaron in the sixties that hit the charts in
Memphis. "I'm Coming Down Mama" was written by former Jonesboro
resident, Gene Walton. We redid it for the new CD featuring Richard
Marray on saxophone.

All right, that's the Big Boss Man, Aaron Love, telling it like it is.
Now here's Pansy Hall singing "The Rose"
