Blues Fest 95 was a world class music festival and really put us on the map. Special thanks go out to all the musicians who made this possible. Let's all kick butt again this year and make Blues Fest 96 the Best Yet!!!
On Saturday August 31 and for the entire festival Joe Lee will be hosting an Alley Records reunion. Joe Lee was proprietor at Alley Records where he produced hundreds of records and many hits in the sixties. Any musicians that recorded at Alley should contact Joe Lee at 870-972-0787.
Blues Fest 96 is dedicated to the memory of Sammy Creason and Carter Bridger. Carter Bridger was percussionist and vocalist with the West Finch Blues Band and played at the last three festivals. Sammy Creason played with Joe Lee, Sonny Burgess, Larry Donn and many other area musicians in the sixties. Since then he toured and recorded with the Bill Black Combo, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Lee Lewis and many others in his life as a Rock and Roll drummer. Like many Northeast Arkansas musicians Sammy Creason was proud to carry our music to the world.
