KASU will sponors a live Blues concert on the first Monday of each month. On Monday, March 1, 1999 the performer will be Keith Brown a Memphis, Tennessee musician who specializes in acoustic country blues in the tradition of Son House, Robert Johnson, and Skip James.

Brown won the Beale Street Blues Society's 1997 National Talent Comeptition and was runnerup in the International Blues Talent Contest sponsored by the Blues Foundation.

His first CD "Walking on Muddy Waters" was recorded live on tour in France. He performs at area festivals and on Beaale Street. Recently Brown made his acting debut in the film "Stop Breakin Down" a film about Robert Johnson. In the film Brown portrays Son House who was a mentor of Johnson's.

There is no cover charge for Monday night's event. The staff will pass the hat to compensate Brown. Support the blues and support KASU's Blues programming by attending the concert. Potlickers is located at 311-B Main Street in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
