KASU sponors a live Blues concert on the first Monday of each month. On Monday, April 5, 1999 the performers will be Hairy Lary and The Flying Hungarians. The Hungarians perform a strong Delta Blues with Chicago Blues influences. Bandleader Hairy Larry learned to play the blues while growing up in Chicago. Where he was influenced by the unique combinations of Delta and Chicago Blues styles of Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon and many many others.

The Flying Hungarians were the house band at Blues Alley and often backed artist who came in to perform without a band. They have performed at Blues Fest every year as well as the ASU Symposium on the Blues. They are currently performing in a series of concerts to benefit the Bandshell Project at Craighead Forest Park.

Hairy Larry and the Flying Hungarians have two CDs out "Live at Blues Alley" and "Love Stuff" they also perform on the Aaron Love CD. These CDs are available locally at Hastings, Spun Doctors, and Books-A-Million.
