Sunday In The Park - May 11, 2008

A huge jam session kicked off the 2008 Sunday In The Park. Chris "Stinger" Stevens, Robb Shelley, Suzanne Michell, Fred Wilson, Lynn Childers, Hairy Larry, George Hinds and Randy Gambill were among the early jammers.

The jams were followed by Chris' guitar workshop, which brought in a crowd. Chris who hails from Bradford, Ill., often does workshops at the Illinois Blues Festival.

Robb plays keyboards with Chris on a regular basis, and came along to lend his talents to the occasion.

The dynamic duo of Fred Wilson and Suzanne Michell once again enthralled the audience with their ability to pull magical songs out of their hat. Fred may know every song ever written.

The Mudcats were in full throttle and laying rubber. Check out Randy Gambill at the top of the page. He was milking it for everything it was worth.

The day was on the windy and chilly side so Hairy Larry built a campfire. The amps were turned off and everyone gathered around to warm up and listen to some acoustic jams. Some great old tunes like "Rag Mama" "Hesitation Blues" and the most classic of all "Goodnight Irene" ended the show.
