The Grand Opening Of
Mr. Johnnie's Lambert Practice Hall

On Friday, November 27, 1998, Johnnie "Mr. Johnnie" Billington will officially open his Lambert Practice Hall with performances by his students, and three other bands: Billy Gibson & the Junkyard Men (Memphis), Willie Foster, and the BLT Band (Oxford).

Mr. Johnnie's students "The Midnighters" will perform, as well as former students of his Harvell & Dione Thomas, and the aforementioned Billy Gibson.

Admission is $5.00 which includes fresh fried catfish, cole slaw, and spaghetti. The show starts at 8:00 PM.

The Practice Hall is located at 721 Darby in downtown Lambert, and is the new home for the Delta Blues Education Program. Mr. Johnnie is a recognized master musician, and winner of the 1996 "Keeping the Blues Alive in Education" award. For more information, please email John Ruskey
