Festival Info

The Mississippi Delta Blues Festival began in 1978 on a flat bed trailer in the middle of a cotton field. Now it is the second oldest blues festival in the nation and the oldest and largest in the South. Held annually the third weekend in September the 21st festival is scheduled for September 19th 1998.

The festival site is located Six (6) miles South of Greenville on Highway 1 at Route 454

Tickets are $13.00 in advance and $15.00 at the gate. Children under 18 are free with a photo ID. Tickets are available at TicketMaster. Call 1-901-525-1515. For more info or ticket locations call MACE at 1-888-81-BLUES.

Parking is free on the grounds outside the gate. No vehicles are allowed inside the festival grounds.

There will be concessions on site. You may bring in small coolers no larger than 12X12X12. No grills permitted on festival grounds.

Video and audio recording equipment will not be allowed inside the gate. Video and audio taping is strictly prohitited.
