"Papa" Joe Lee is Alley Records. Joe has recorded Delta Music
since the fifties. Working at Alley in the sixties and the
seventies Joe released more singles than Sun. His master tapes
are probably the single largest archive of the work of Northeast
Arkansas musicians recorded during this era.
Joe Lee continues to perform with The Joe Lee Combo and he is
currently at work revitalizing Alley Records. Joe also has 45 rpm
copies of most Alley singles of interest to many collectors.
