The remnants of hurricane Ike blew through Saturday night. Trees and power lines were down all over town. But did that stop us from playing at Blues Fest? Not at all.
We kicked it with an hour of jams then we got out of the way for Snap Crow Leg. Chris Harper and Mitch Hollifield did a bunch of originals and a few covers. Then they introduced their friend, Dan Parker to sing us one he wrote.
Ronnie Presley just killed with a set that made it to the Live Music Archive. Check it out below. And then Ricky Rooker brought Hard Times to the stage to close the show with some country, some rock n roll, and a little bit more Blues jamming.
Hurricanes can't stop the jammers at Blues Fest. At least Ike didn't.
Pictured above is Ronnie Presley. Below is a shot of the opening jams. From the left, Rick Grippo, Ricky Rooker, Mad Dog Willie, Hairy Larry, Zif, and Randy Gambill.
